Santa Claus Is Coming to Town

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, a été écrite par J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie en 1934. C'est le banjoïste, Harry Reser qui enregistre la chanson le 24 octobre 1934, avec Tom Stacks au chant.




L'année suivante, le 26 Septembre 1935, c'est Tommy Dorsey qui enregistrera le titre.



Et bien sur, comme tout les grand standard de noël, la chansons fut interpréter par beaucoup de personnes dont: Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Beach Boys, Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters, Boston Pops Orchestra, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Bruce Springsteen, Burl Ives, The Carpenters, Chicagos, Cyndi Lauper, Destiny's Child, Diana Ross, Dolly Parton, Ella Fitzgerald, Frankie Valli, Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Gene Autry, Green Day, Hilary Duff, The Jackson 5, Johnny Mathis, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee, Perry Como, Ray Charles, Rosemary Clooney, Slade, The Supremes, The Temptations


Il faut noter qu'avec le temps il y a deux version de "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town".
